Sam Wood's Father's Day will be different this year

It’s all a matter of great timing this year for former Bachelor star Sam Wood and his family.

The 34-year-old personal trainer says his Father’s Day gift truly came early in 2019, after he and wife Snezana Markoski welcomed baby girl, Charlie six weeks ago.

“She’s absolutely beautiful. She’s so cute, I actually can’t believe she’s six weeks old already,” Sam tells Yahoo Lifestyle.

The reality star, who shot to fame after starring on The Bachelor Australia in 2015, says one-year-old daughter Willow, and stepdaughter Eve, 14, have been very hands-on siblings.

“She’s [Charlie] a little gem and Willow’s been a doting big sister and Evie of course, she’s well and truly had time to get used to being a big sister, but she’s been really helpful since Charlie came along.

“It definitely changes the dynamic. I think Snez and I were just getting the hang of one little one,” he laughs.

Father’s Day on Sunday will be a special time for the Wood family, who have organised a surprise for dad.

“I have to be available and then a surprise is coming, apparently,” reveals Sam, before adding he’s also kept another day free during school holidays for a second surprise Snezana and the girls have up their sleeves.

Meanwhile, Sam has also joined forces with Deliveroo in time for Father’s Day, creating his own Burnt Sausage Sauce for BL Burgers.

“This is the weird thing, it doesn’t sound great,” he laughs about the saucy creation, but promises it’s a winner.

The TV star describes that there’s “that burnt sausage taste, like that burnt onion plus a few other secret ingredients in there. I can’t reveal all the secrets.”
