Baby Insists Photo of Jesus Is 'Dada' & It's Too Cute to Handle
Now that the holiday season is finally here—and Christmas is officially just weeks away—some of us may end up fielding some interesting questions and comments from our little ones. And, like with any change in season or in excited anticipation of a big event, our kids aren't going to get all the details right, especially the younger ones who are trying to make sense of the world around them. And sometimes, this happens in the most hilarious of ways.
Case in point: The sweet little girl who was convinced that a photo of Jesus was actually her dad. Not only is she adorable, but she also seemed to have zero doubt in her mind that she was right about it.
I'm not sure how old this adorable baby girl is in the video shared by mom Molly Richter on TikTok, but she's still very little—and it's clear that her parents are the center of her universe.
So when she picks up a photo of Jesus in a frame, she's absolutely convinced that this has to be her dad—what other man in her life would be worthy of a display like this? She kept proudly announcing that this photo is of "dada," pointing to the picture as she carried it around, saying his name.
I had to know if her dad actually looks like Jesus in real life, and while there isn't much to go on via her mom's TikTok account, I'll concede that he is a man with dark brown hair, which was probably enough to convince her that he was also the dude in the picture (even if his hair is cut short and not quite as flowy).
What's even better? In the comments of the video where I found the baby's dad, others commented that they'd also been trying to figure out if he looked like Jesus. There goes the internet, bringing people together again. LOL!
This video also happens to have inspired some seriously hilarious comments, including plenty of jokes about Jesus actually being everyone's dada. One person wrote, "He is my dada too, in the club we all fam."
Another commenter joked, "Close enough! Baby girl, can you ask dada when is he going to send me my husband?"
This little one will figure out how to identify who is and isn't her dad in a picture soon enough, but until then, this funny misunderstanding is just one of those comical moments of being a parent that her mom will tell her about someday.
