What would you sacrifice in order to keep your mobile phone firmly in your hot little hands? Your morning cup of coffee? That block of choccie in the cupboard? Or a night of passion with a special someone?

A whopping 94 per cent of Aussies are more than happy to give up all three - coffee, chocolate and sex - in the name of their beloved phone according to a survey by Boost Mobile.

On top of that, a third of the survey participants said that if their phone wasn’t working, it would completely ruin their day. We’re not saying that’s an addiction but, well, it kind of is.

Let’s break down the survey findings a bit. When asked to choose between their flat whites, long blacks and cappuccinos and their smartphone, half of the respondents opted to skip their daily caffeine hit to stay in radio contact.

Chocolate is the next little luxury to get the chop with 30 per cent of us saying they’d forgo the sweet stuff for their phone.

And just under a quarter of Aussies would swap sex to spend a cosy night in with their cellular device.

But there is a way for phone obsessives to have their cake and eat it too, so to speak, thanks to adult store Lovehoney and their range of app-controlled sex toys such as the OhMiBod Fuse App Controlled Interactive Rabbit Vibrator, $249.95.

Getting frisky with your phone? It’s the best of both worlds.
