Aquaman's Jason Momoa fell in love with wife Lisa Bonet when he was 8

They’ve been inseparable ever since they were introduced to each other by mutual friends in 2005.

But Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet’s love story started much earlier than that, according to the Aquaman star.

The 39-year-old action star admits he actually fell for his “queen” when he saw her on TV for the first time, aged just eight-years-old.

“I was like, ‘Mummy, I want that one,” he joked to James Corden in 2017. “I’m like, ‘I’m going to stalk you for the rest of my life and I’m going to stalk you for the rest of my life and I’m going to get you.”

“I’m a full-fledged stalker,” he jokingly added. “I didn’t tell her that until we had two babies, otherwise, I’d be creepy and weird. But yeah, [I’d] just always wanted to meet her. She was a queen, always”.

Lisa, 51, famously starred as Denise Huxtable on The Cosby Show, and also had a famous relationship with rock star Lenny Kravitz which came to an end in 1993.

Luckily for Jason, he was able to meet his dream girl by chance at a jazz club in New York City back in 2005.

“We just happened to be in the right place at the right time. I actually had dreaded my hair for her. I had dreadlocks, she had dreadlocks,” he recalled on The Late Late Show with James Corden in 2017. “I literally turned around and I see her and she goes, ‘I’m Lisa’. I turned around to my friend and I [pretended to scream]. I had f***ing fireworks going off inside , man.”

He continued: “We sat down, she ordered Guinness and that was it. I beyond love Guinness. We had Guinness and grits, and the rest is history.”

The couple welcomed their first child Lola in 2007, and their son Nakoa-Wolf was born in 2008.

While it was believed the couple tied the knot in 2007, but they didn’t actually wed until October 2017.

Jason is now step-father to Lenny and Lisa’s actress daughter, Zoe Kravitz.
