Yahoo Lifestyle Report: Antonio Brown trying to recoup lost money from Raiders, considering filing grievance
Antonio Brown is considering filing a potential grievance against the Oakland Raiders in an effort to recoup lost earnings during his short time with the team, according to ESPN.
Brown was traded to the Raiders this summer, though didn’t make it to Week 1 with the organization after a myriad of issues — which cost him $30 million in guaranteed money when he was cut on September 7.
Now, the NFL Player’s Association is currently “examining various scenarios” to try and return the money to him, per the report. They are also reportedly looking into three fines that were levied by the team, his Week 1 salary, his base salary of $14.625 million for 2019 and $14.5 million for 2020, and his $1 million signing bonus.

Brown is in a separate money battle with the New England Patriots, too. The Patriots picked up Brown on a one-year deal just hours after Oakland cut him, and offered him a $9 million signing bonus. Brown was released after just one game, though, amid sexual assault allegations.
The Patriots held out that bonus, and cut him the day before $5 million of that was due. Multiple NFL sources told Yahoo Sports’ Charles Robinson that they expect the Patriots will end up having to pay the money to him eventually. Per ESPN, he’s also subject to termination pay, which would grant him 25 percent of his base salary.
The 31-year-old is currently being investigated by the NFL after multiple sexual assault allegations surfaced against him. He has been extremely vocal on Twitter since his release from New England, briefly retired and even re-enrolled in college for a short time.
While Brown is no longer on a team, his long, tumultuous saga is apparently still far from over.
