Anne Hathaway just re-wore Claudia Schiffer’s iconic Versace finale gown
If there's one thing the internet loves, it's the people's princess Anne Hathaway. A permanent political fixture (as head of the Genovian state, natch) and sartorial darling, Anne's personal style has been on an upward trajectory for a couple of years now, stepping out in trendsetting, elegant outfits all over the world, thanks in large part to her brilliant stylist Erin Walsh.
So, it makes sense that she would totally encapsulate this moment's zeitgeist in her recent ensemble.
Attending the Clooney Foundation For Justice's The Albies event in New York City, Mia Anne looked truly sensational in a sequinned silver and green checkerboard spaghetti strap dress, already an iconic fashion moment in its own right.
Earlier this month, German supermodel Claudia Schiffer wore the Versace dress to close the SS24 show at Milan Fashion Week. A much-feted return to the runway, Schiffer was hailed as a legendary guest, the event marking her first show since her appearance in 2018 alongside fellow models Naomi Campbell and Cindy Crawford.
Anne's dress, a dazzling array of glittering silver and green trimmed with delicate lace, was accessorised with silver shoes (similar, again, to those worn by Claudia on the catwalk), and an array of silver bangles, bracelets, a single necklace and stunning earrings.
Her hair and make-up, the creation of Mara Roszak and Gucci Westman respectively, fused old-school glamour with neutral browns and pinks. Elegant and understated, Anne, in our humble opinion, totally stole the show.
