Anna Delvey Seeks ‘On-Air Correction’ From The View Over Remarks About Her Controversial DWTS Casting: ‘Get Your Facts Straight’

Don’t expect Anna Delvey to drop by The View anytime soon.

Following Thursday’s episode, in which the panel roasted ABC’s decision to cast the famous con artist on Dancing With the Stars, Delvey has issued a scathing public response.

Whoopi Goldberg and Alyssa Farrah Griffin led the charge against Delvey, accusing her of getting preferential treatment from the government — ICE has allowed Russian-born Delvey to travel to Los Angeles for the show, despite technically being on house arrest in Manhattan while awaiting word on whether she can legally remain in the U.S. — and claiming that she still owes money to the people she famously defrauded. (Delvey’s story was chronicled in the Emmy Award-winning Netflix series Inventing Anna.)

“While you are entitled to your own opinions, you should at least get your facts straight,” Delvey wrote in a comment to a video of the segment posted by The View on X. “I served my time and paid everyone back in full 3+ years ago. Looking forward to your on-air correction.”

UPDATE: On the Sept. 16 episode of The View, co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin read a statement related to Delvey’s demand for an apology.

“We recently discussed Anna Delvey, the convicted fraudster, noting she will be on Dancing with the Stars and questioning the fairness of her being on the show as it is an opportunity that most other convicted criminals and immigrants seeking asylum simply do not have,” she said. “After that discussion, we heard from Miss Delvey’s lawyer who strongly objected to our saying that, ‘She still owes people money.’ He argued that statement falsely suggests she still owes restitution to her fraud victims. And he provided a document from the Office of Victim Services that he says proves, ‘All of Miss Delvey’s restitution has been repaid in full and all the victims have been fully compensated.’ We are all looking forward to the new season of Dancing with the Stars premiering tomorrow night right here on ABC.”

Delvey was announced as a member of Dancing With the Stars‘ Season 33 cast in early September, joining names like 90210‘s Tori Spelling, The Real Housewives of Atlanta‘s Phaedra Parks and The Bachelorette‘s Jenn Tran on the dance floor.
