Amy Schumer is enjoying life as a new mum, post-baby body included.

The comedian took to her social media to share new photos from a beach holiday with husband Chris Fischer and three-month-old son, Gene with the caption, “We’re good.”

In her latest post to Instagram the 38-year-old looked happy and relaxed in a black swimsuit by Lonely while enjoying some sun and sand with her family, including dog Tatiana.

The I Feel Pretty star showed off her playful side by sharing a photo of husband, Fischer, pushing her in a beach wheelchair as she carries her beach bag, dog and umbrella across the sand.

Fans were glad to see Amy feeling like her old self, after requiring a C-section to deliver her son.

“So beautiful,” a fan wrote. “A normal woman’s body. You look great!”

“Thank you for being an example of loving the body you are in,” another wrote. “When your newborn arrives it’s the time to love your body, be thankful and love on your little one.”

The Emmy winner’s light-hearted take on motherhood has inspired women not to be caught up in the pressure to lose weight or try to be the “perfect” new mom.

“Thank you for all the good vibes and inspiration that you give all of us women. Some days I realize I haven’t showered, brushed my teeth or put on pants and I would normally beat myself up,” one follower commented. “Then I’m like, ‘What would Amy do?’ She would laugh and keep on living and so I skip the self-deprecation and live too.” (sic)

“I am loving my warm, soft, post baby body,” Amy wrote as a response to fans. “Grateful to be feeling strong again.”

The star’s first few months of motherhood have been a welcomed relief after nearly ten months of suffering from hyperemesis gravidium during her pregnancy, a condition marked by severe vomiting.

While most women experience some form of morning sickness or nausea at some point during their pregnancy, Amy became so ill and dehydrated that she required multiple hospitalisations and was forced to cancel several of her comedy tour dates.

“I threw up violently and felt sick mostly every day of my pregnancy,” she told fans in a May 11 Instagram post. “Hyperemesis is real and it’s awful. But f-ck, what they say is true. The second you give birth it’s gone.”
