Yahoo Lifestyle Al Roker's Granddaughter Sky Is 'Pure Joy' in Precious New Photo
Al Roker might just be the proudest grandpa on the planet.
On Sunday, Aug. 25, the Today co-host shared a photo of his 1-year-old granddaughter Sky with a huge smile on her face to Instagram, and fans couldn't get over the adorable pic.
"She is just pure joy," the 70-year-old celeb captioned his post.
Commenters gushed over the super sweet image.
"Love her curls!!" wrote one fan.
"Love that sweet smile! She is adorable!" agreed a second person.
"Sweet little muffin!!! 😍" raved a third Instagram user.
Sky was born on July 3, 2023, to his Roker's eldest daughter, Courtney. Roker shares Courtney with his ex-wife, Alice Bell; the star also has two kids, Leila and Nick, with his wife of 29 years, ABC correspondent Deborah Roberts.
In July, Roker spoke to Parade about how much he loves being a grandfather.
"As somebody once told me, if I knew grandchildren would be this much fun, I would have had them first!" Roker said. "Sky just turned a year old. She’s started crawling. And because our youngest son, Nick, is 22, you forget how quickly they can move. I put her down and there she goes!"
Earlier this month, Roker shared a carousel of images to Instagram from a walk he and Sky took around NYC featuring the toddler looking up at her grandpa lovingly from her stroller.
"My little Sky and me on a #vehiclefree Park Avenue during the #summerstreets program here in NYC," Roker captioned the photos.
"Nothing better than time with your granddaughter❤️," wrote one commenter.
"Aww she loves her Gpop," noted a second person.
