Al Roker Fans Demand He Needs a 'Booster Seat' at Thanksgiving Day Parade: How Tall Is He?

Al Roker's appearance at the 2024 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade is the talk of the web, but it's not because the Today personality experienced an on-air gaffe nor wardrobe malfunction, but rather because of the broadcast's seating arrangement.

During NBC's coverage of the 98th annual New York City parade, Roker was joined by Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie as hosts, with the trio seated at a festive red desk. With Roker and Kotb on either end of Guthrie, fans watching at home couldn't help but point out how Roker, 70, appeared to be almost sunken into his spot at the table.

"If anyone is hiring please let me know. i was the person at nbc who made sure al roker had a normal sized chair," one X (formerly Twitter) user quipped of the very obvious height difference.

"Can someone get Al Roker a booster seat??" another joked.

Someone else called for production to get Roker an "encyclopedia to sit on."

"They really did Al Roker dirty with that little chair," a fourth wrote in part. "He's a national treasure and should be in a nice, tall, comfy chair in the middle."

"They left Al Roker in the dryer too long!" a different viewer declared.

One more wrote, "Why are they doing Al Roker dirty like this and making him look like he's 3 feet tall?"

Despite how it looked this morning, all three co-stars are of similar stature, with their recorded heights within one or two inches of each other. Roker is reportedly 5' 7", Kotb is slightly taller at 5' 9" and Guthrie is the tallest at 5' 10".
