Jess Dover has seemingly confirmed her split with former AFL player Jared Petrenko in a heartbreaking Mother's Day post.

According to the Herald Sun, Dover and Petrenko - who have nine-month-old son Sebastian together - separated earlier this year.

And Dover's recent social media activity would appear to confirm the sad news.

Dover posted a photo with Sebastian on Instagram on Sunday, writing: “You, my Sebby have given me more strength and resilience than I ever knew I had.

"Today isn’t how I imagined my first Mother’s Day to be but I know as long as I have you, everything will be okay.

"Just you and me.”

AFL glamour couple had been on House Rules

Dover and Petrenko were contestants on Channel 7 reality show House Rules in 2018.

They had been together for two years before the show.

Petrenko played 76 games for the Adelaide Crows from 2008 and 2014 before being de-listed.

The 31-year-old joined Essendon for the 2015 pre-season as a "top-up player" after the club had 26 players unavailable due to the supplements scandal.

Dover, 29, is a model with Melbourne agency The Talent Buro and took part in the Miss Universe Australia competition in 2019.

Petrenko and Dover shared their excitement last year when they fell pregnant.

“Life is about to change forever and we could not be happier @jessicadover. See you in July little one,” Petrenko wrote.

Dover added: “So ready for this next journey with you darling!”

When Sebastian was born, Dover wrote: “And in a moment our world changed forever …

"SEBASTIAN PATRICK PETRENKO arrived at 12.44am Thursday, August 6th weighing 4.2kg.

"He is everything we dreamt of and more. We are absolutely besotted by you baby boy, thankyou for choosing us.”
