Ruh-roh: Adam Duvall home run hits cutout of Mets player's dog at Citi Field

Atlanta Braves outfielder Adam Duvall scored the team’s first run of the season on Saturday with a second-inning solo home run.

The blast came with some unfortunate, but harmless collateral damage.

As Duvall’s homer sailed through the Citi Field sky, it eventually made its way toward the only three fan cutouts in the area behind right field. Cutouts of dogs, to be specific. Just three dogs minding their own business.

With a loud thud, Duvall’s hit connected with a cardboard pooch.

Even worse, that specific dog happened to be Willow McNeil, owned by Mets All-Star Jeff McNeil. Fortunately, the cardboard Willow appeared to be unharmed.

McNeil would later avenge his dog with a sacrifice fly in the fifth inning to give the Mets a 2-1 lead.

Anyway, here’s a better picture of the real Willow, who is clearly a very good girl.

The Braves eventually won 5-3 after a blown save by Mets closer Edwin Diaz.
