I’m not exaggerating when I tell you these are the softest leggings and hoodies I’ve ever worn

I’m always on the hunt for comfy clothes that can still help me look put together. Working from home, my everyday cold weather look is what I prefer to call “athleisure chic” (aka leggings and a sweater). Recently, I tried Abercrombie & Fitch’s YPB line, and I’m not exaggerating when I tell you these are the softest leggings, hoodies and T-shirts I’ve ever worn.

OK, let’s get one thing out of the way. YPB stands for Your Personal Best, and it’s Abercrombie’s name for its activewear line. There are clothing styles for men and women and accessories as well. Of course, YPB is a great mantra for any athlete: run your personal best, lift your personal best, row your personal best. But it can also apply to anything outside of working out, too. For me, maybe it’s doing my personal best in work because I mostly wear it while working from home or when I walk my dog.

I recently tried the brand’s sculptLUX Flare Legging and neoKNIT Legging-Friendly Popover Hoodie. First of all, the leggings really do sculpt and smooth your bottom half. As the product description says, they’re “compressive and supportive without being restrictive.” They have a double-layer waistband and a V-shaped back seaming detail that makes them extra flattering, too.

While I might not wear these leggings to run a few miles or to spin class because of the flared hem, I’ve worn them for lower-impact exercises like pilates, yoga and long walks through the park. The brand also makes them in a standard legging style, though.

As for the neoKNIT hoodie, I’m obsessed. It has a sweat-wicking neoprene fabric that feels stretchy and buttery soft. If you need a comparison, I’d say it’s similar to Lululemon’s Scuba Hoodie but more lightweight and flowy. It’s perfect for wearing pre- and post-workout, or over leggings or bike shorts. I made my boyfriend feel how soft it was the other day, and now I have to get him one of the men’s neoKNIT hoodies, too.

After trying just these two items, I knew I needed more, and I purchased the YPB powerSOFT Long-Sleeve Easy Tee. It feels silky and soft as the name implies. I also got the neoKNIT Mini Crew, the same neoprene material as the hoodie I mentioned, but it’s a cropped, crewneck sweatshirt style.

If you’re looking for comfy activewear, give it a shot. If not for your workouts, Abercrombie’s YPB is great for lounging at home, wearing at the airport or running errands around town. Personally, I’ll be adding a few more styles to my holiday wishlist this year.
