A normally very composed Tracy Grimshaw was left looking a little confused during Monday night’s episode of A Current Affair, as the show was plagued by camera fails and technical glitches.

The episode, which featured a segment with outspoken senator Pauline Hanson on the Uluru climbing ban, didn’t get off to the best start.

After welcoming viewers to the episode, Tracy directed people to an online poll about the debate on Facebook, and attempted to introduce the segment by saying, “please join the poll as you watch”.

But rather than seeing anything new, people were left looking at a mute Tracy as footage from the segment failed to start playing.

Things got even more confusing when the segment’s sound could be heard, but viewers were still left looking at Tracy, before the screen eventually switched to Pauline and ACA reporter Martin King, but without sound.

That’s when everything dropped out and the show cut to an advertisement for The Block before trying again.

If the false start wasn’t enough to leave viewers cringing a little, things also ended exactly how they kicked off.

After the preview for the next episode finished, all Tracy had to do was sign off, but as the camera swapped back to her, she wasn’t looking in the right direction.

“Ah, that’s tomorrow,” she said, looking around the set. “Um, before we go... what camera?”

“Before we go an update on the poll we’re running,” she finally said facing viewers.

The second hiccup was enough to see people take to Twitter to share their thoughts on the embarrassing episode.

“The year’s most hilarious commercial TV horror shock,” one person wrote.

“What happened ACA?” another asked.
