FIRST-LOOKS
After the show’s midseason finale, the trailer for Fox’s “9-1-1: Lone Star”s remaining episodes dropped — the show will return on Monday, Jan. 20.
The 30-second preview teases an asteroid warning that could mean the end of the world as the crew of firefighters must band together.
“9-1-1: Lone Star” is a spinoff of the original “9-1-1” — which now airs on ABC — that premiered in January 2020. This new story takes place in Austin, Texas, as Owen Strand (Rob Lowe), a firefighter from New York City, arrives with his son. The procedural follows the lives of firefighters as they fight to save the people in their community while also grappling with their own lives.
The cast includes Lowe, Gina Torres, Ronen Rubinstein, Sierra McClain, Jim Parrack, Natacha Karam, Brian Michael Smith, Rafael Silva and Julian Works. The show’s finale will be followed by “Rescue: HI-Surf,” bringing an official end to the “9-1-1: Lone Star” story.

The drama series “The Recruit” will premiere its second season on Jan. 30, 2025. The show from Lionsgate Television will feature a slate of six episodes running one hour each.
“Season Two of ‘The Recruit’ finds CIA Lawyer, Owen Hendricks (Noah Centineo), pulled into a life-threatening espionage situation in South Korea, only to realize that the bigger threat just might be coming from inside the Agency,” reads the show’s logline.
In addition to Centineo, the cast also includes Teo Yoo, Aarti Mann, Colton Dunn, Fivel Stewart, Kristian Bruun, Kaylah Zander, Maddie Hasson, Angel Parker and Vondie Curtis-Hall.
“Owen rolls into this season basically screwed. Owen knows that if he does not walk away with a win this season, his career is going to be over. He might go to prison. Depending on what people are into, they can show up this season for the big, flashy, splashy action stuff, but they can also be on a journey with this guy who’s just trying to fix something that he broke,” teases Alexi Hawley, series creator, showrunner and executive producer of “The Recruit.”
Hawley executive produces alongside Centineo, Doug Liman, Gene Klein, David Bartis, Adam Ciralsky, Charlie Ebersol and Julian Holmes. Hawley and Holmes also serve as directors for the show, as do Jessica Yu, Viet Nguyen, and John Hyams.
