As New South Wales becomes the first Aussie state to start rolling out a reopening plan, many are no doubt desperate for a getaway.

It has been almost two years since COVID-19 shut down our international borders, and while we still have to wait a bit longer before overseas travel can resume, there is plenty to discover on our doorstep.

And while you will still need to wait until we hit the 80 per cent vaccination target before leaving greater Sydney, the time to start planning your getaway is now.

NSW is set to hit the 80 per cent vaccination target by October 31.

So, for those NSW residents itching to ditch the city, here are seven of the most amazing getaways you can visit for a much needed escape.

As evening starts to fall you can sit by the firepit and talk the night away in this secluded little hideaway, without having to worry about disturbing the neighbours.

Kates Tiny Home sleeps only two people and comes with a fully operational kitchen, outdoor barbeque and a firepit.
