‘My 600-Lb Life’ Star Lindsey Witte Now: An Update on Her Weight Loss Journey
TLC viewers were introduced to Lindsey Witte on My 600-Lb Life in 2020. But how is she doing now?
Witte, 39, of Hills, Iowa, appeared in Season 8, Episode 2 of My 600-Lb Life. Although viewers hoped to see her change her eating habits and lifestyle choices, her journey stalled out for months.
She sought help from bariatric surgeon Dr. Younan Nowzaradan (known as Dr. Now) in Houston, Texas, but was Witte able to change his ways and qualify for weight-loss surgery?
Lindsey Witte's weight loss journey was featured in My 600-Lb Life Season 8, Episode 2.
At the beginning of her My 600-Lb Life episode, Witte admitted that her life was "miserable" because of reduced mobility and pain due to her size. She explained that poor eating habits combined with childhood and relationship trauma contributed to her binge-eating habits.
At her first weigh-in, Witte tipped the scales at 647 pounds. Dr. Now pointed out that she had weight-loss surgery eight years before and wondered what she would do differently this time. However, he agreed to help and gave her the goal of losing 75 pounds in two months.
Witte struggled with Dr. Now's strict 1,200-calorie per day plan. Her husband, Paul, encouraged her to make healthy choices but also enabled her to overeat at times by continuing to bring her unhealthy food.
"You're killing yourself with this bulls--t, and I'm not f--king sticking around for it," he yelled at one point.
At her follow-up appointment with Dr. Now, Witte weighed 619 pounds, a 28-pound loss. She was given the same goal—losing 75 pounds in two months—but weighed 599 pounds when she returned.
Three months later, she tipped the scales at 517 pounds. Dr. Now then approved her for weight loss surgery.
At the end of the episode, Witte successfully underwent gastric sleeve surgery and continued to work hard to lose more weight.
Witte's story was revisited on My 600-Lb Life: Where Are They Now? on Feb. 26, 2025.
TLC offered an update on Witte's story with a Feb. 26 episode of the spinoff series My 600-Lb Life: Where Are They Now?
The network shared a throwback video via Instagram of Paul giving Lindsey "tough love" when she asked for snacks to tease the update.

How is Lindsey Witte from My 600-Lb Life doing now?
On Instagram, Witte's most recent post from November 2024 is a quote that reads: "Some people are only meant to stay in your heart, not in your life." Most of her other posts include quotes, too.
However, in March 2024, Witte shared an update on her weight loss journey, including before-and-after photos.
"It's been a while since I gave an update! My total pounds down is 370, and I've been maintaining that for 3+ years," she revealed.
The TLC personality continued, "Am I at goal weight? No. How far from goal weight are you? 70 - 90 pounds (stuck there for a year, now). Every day is a challenge. However, I have overcome a lot and strive each day to put my best foot forward. Love you all.❤️."
