Debris from Prince Philip's crash bids for $117K on eBay
Prince Philip’s car crash is proving to be a lucrative event for the people who stopped to pick up debris.
Fragments of glass left on the roadside after the Duke of Edinburgh’s Land Rover collided with another car last week, were reportedly put up on eBay with bids reaching as much as $117,000 (£65,900).
The opportunist seller listed the items under ‘Prince Philip Car Crash Parts’ and said that all proceeds from the auction would go to charity. While at least 119 bids were placed on the parts, it now seems the unusual listing has been removed from eBay.
While the Duke was uninjured in the accident that took place outside of the royal’s Sandringham Estate, the driver of the other car, a 28-year-old woman, suffered cuts to her knee while the passenger, Emma Fairweather, 46, sustained a broken wrist.
Norfolk Police also confirmed a nine-month-old baby boy was in the Kia at the time of the incident and was uninjured.

Passenger Emma went on British morning TV on Monday to criticise Philip for not contacting her after the crash to apologise.
The Queen’s lady-in-waiting Mary Morrison has been in touch with Emma and left her a voicemail message.
The Mirror reports the message said: “The Queen has asked me to telephone you to pass on her warmest good wishes following the accident and Her Majesty is very eager to know how you are and hope that everything is going as well as can be expected.”
