This $25 Million Penthouse on Florida’s Gulf Coast Is Like Your Own Private Resort
Florida’s gulf coast has a reputation for citrus-hued sunsets, white sandy beaches, and palm trees swaying in the breeze. But what was once a dreamy reality has become a riskier venture—replaced, thanks to climate change, with less-enticing visions of devastating hurricanes, storm surges, and damaging floods.
For luxury buyers who still want to enjoy the coastal vistas of the Sunshine State, the solution is to move on up. In this case, to a 21st-floor mansion in the sky in Naples, Fla., that includes a sweeping 3,568-square-foot rooftop retreat overlooking miles of secluded beaches. Penthouse 4 sits atop the four-year-old Mystique condo tower in the fast-developing Pelican Bay area just north of downtown Naples, only a short golf-cart ride from the landmark Ritz-Carlton resort.

This 5,700-square-foot four-bedroom residence with a flexible-use den offers panoramic views from every room; the floor-to-ceiling hurricane-rated windows emphasize location while ultra-custom finishes create a cohesive interior palette. During the construction phase, the homeowner commissioned a local millworking specialist, the Thomas Riley Artisans’ Guild, to fabricate intricate ceiling treatments and doors that were carefully hoisted into the unit via cranes.
Additionally, the owner’s love of French Lalique glass is on full display in the inner foyer, which showcases a rare 1920s ceiling piece sourced from a Paris salon. Another Lalique chandelier takes pride of place in the dining area, its exquisite leaf-shaped details softening the fixture’s illumination.
In each of the home’s five bathrooms, an elevated decor scheme is completed with midcentury-modern crystal sconces crafted by some of Europe’s finest lighting and glassmaking houses, including Barovier & Toso, Orrefors, and Atelier Jean Perzel. One highlight in the spacious primary suite is a tailor-made full-width paneled-leather wall behind the bed.
While the pristine Pelican Bay beach is a brief stroll away, most sun worshippers will be happy to take the home’s private staircase up to the sizable glass-rimmed terrace with its oversize pool, outdoor kitchen, and entertaining and dining areas. From here you have your own resort, with ocean views and every amenity you might require.
The penthouse is currently listed for $24.9 million with Tim Savage of Naples-based Gulf Coast International Properties.
