Recently, we wrote about films people are tired of hearing people rave about because they think they're over-hyped. And our BuzzFeed Community members came through in the comments with even more movies they *personally* think are praised too much. Here are some of their responses:
1.A Quiet Place (2018)
"I do not get the hype for A Quiet Place. It’s just kind of sad and sort of boring, and not at all scary. I was so excited to watch it, and it was a letdown."
2.Call Me By Your Name (2017)
"I felt like it was only liked because it was beautiful to look at. The setting and cinematography were great, but I just couldn’t get past the adult graduate student grooming a high schooler part of the film."
3.Joker (2019)
"Don't get me wrong, Phoenix gave an incredible performance, but overall the movie felt dull. I'm sure part of that was my expectations going in, aka I expected it to be more like a traditional Batman movie. Ultimately I found it forgettable and have no interest in watching it again."
4.Inglourious Basterds (2009)
"There are scenes I like, like the opening and that bar scene, but the movie itself just didn't click with me."

"It did not deserve all the awards. The plot was boring and predictable, the script was mediocre, they cast actors who weren't singers or dancers, and they made a movie about saving jazz starring two white people."

"Not many people in the cast could sing and it was clear they only cast big starts to draw in an audience. Samantha Barks who played Eponine on the west end was the absolute best choice, and Eddie Redmayne was pretty good, but I hated so many of the other actors who were cast."

It's two hours of Frances McDormand staring wistfully at the horizon, with the occasional scene showing what an awesome company Amazon is for exploiting a non-actor's real-life pain. The fact that she won a THIRD Oscar for shitting in a bucket is a travesty."

"Barely a plot, not a single likable character, slow pacing, and tonally all over the shop. I've come back to it multiple times, thinking 'This is the only film on IMDB's top 250 that I've seen and didn't think was at least a 5/10'... but each time I end up hating it more than I did before."

"The only good thing about it is the representation of the deaf community. Other than that, the girl is weird, and the whole plot is drawn out and boring. Then she has sex with a fish guy? And don't even get me started on the weird, out of place dance number! It took me two days to watch it."
