$20K diet celebs and CEOs can't get enough of

People often say the benefits of losing weight and getting fit outweigh the cost it takes to get there, but would you really be willing to spend $20,000 on a diet program?

The F-Factor diet is the new fad diet making the rounds and despite the hefty price tag, New York City’s elite is all over it, including the likes of Katie Couric, supermodel Molly Sims and high-profile CEOs.

Dietician Tanya Zuckerbrot, who the founded the program, has revealed she charges clients upwards of $US15,000 ($20,000) dollars to get her diet advice.

“I charge $US15,000 dollars for my start-up package which includes an initial consultation and a two-hour education class as well as follow-up visits. My associates charge $US4,500 ($6,000) for their packages,” she tells FOX Business.

If you’re like me, you might be thinking, how is this any different to any other consultation with a personal trainer or dietitian?

Well, Tanya, who says it’s all about educating people on the science of losing weight, has a secret up her sleeve –  and you won’t believe it, but it’s actually a crispbread cracker!

Each miracle cracker, made in Norway, contains four grams of dietary fibre and only 20 calories per serving which makes it useful for those undertaking the high fibre diet.

However, Tanya recognises that her premium pricing – which some people say is just clever marketing – isn’t for everyone, which is why she has also released a book version of the F-Factor Diet for those of us who actually have to budget.
