18 times Princess Charlotte stole the show

Princess Charlotte is the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's second-eldest child and only daughter.

Named after her great-grandmother, the Queen, and late grandmother, Princess Diana, Charlotte Elizabeth Diana was born on 2 May 2015 in the Lindo Wing of St Mary's Paddington, weighing 8lbs 3oz, with landmarks around the country lit up to mark her arrival.

The young royal instantly made history. After her birth, she became the first female royal to be able to maintain her place in the line of succession. Thanks to a change in the law that was made before George was born, her younger brother Louis doesn't usurp her spot in the path to the throne.

Over the years, royal fans have watched as the princess has grown into a confident and cheeky young girl.

Who can forget when she playfully poked her tongue out at competitors during the King's Cup regatta, or when she told photographers "you're not coming" after the christening of little brother Louis?

And we all wondered what she was thinking when she put her hand in front of her face at cousin Eugenie's wedding to Jack Brooksbank in 2018.

After turning seven earlier this month, the royal's public appearances are very slowly starting to increase. Following an appearance at a memorial service for her great-grandfather, Prince Philip, earlier this year, Princess Charlotte is due to appear on the Buckingham Palace balcony with other members of the Royal Family, including her brothers, Prince George, eight, and Prince Louis, four, at the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

Here are some of the royal's most memorable moments.
