The Dukan Diet ranked number one on the list of five worst diets of 2012. This popular four-phase diet starts off with a ‘no carb/protein only’ approach that promotes rapid weight loss. It's said to be a favourite of the Duchess of Cambridge's mother and many other celebrities like J Lo and Giselle Bundchen. Cynics of the diet claim it can cause bad breath, constipation and lack of energy plus more serious health risks like cardiovascular disease.

Never try ANY diet. It's about lifestyle, not diet. Just get more exercise. Simple.

ReplyDiets do not work. Firstly find out why you are fat. If it's excess food then eat moderately and do not gluttonise. However, there are people who cannot lose weight desptie a healthy diet and this is usually due to some medical problem, i.e. hormonal imbalance or disease. Have your hormone profile checked, and have a Dr./endocrinolgist check your thyroid, adrenals, liver, etc. etc. all aspects that need to be in working order to burn fat. Fad diets may work in the short term but usually they are not sustainable and once you go off them then you gain back what you lost plus more. Then depression sets in. Margo
ReplyNo diets work AT ALL ! It's only lifestyle that works.
1 ReplyI have been on this diet twice. It does rapidly shift weight. However I was exhausted during it and gained more rebound weight as I have found it unsustainable long term.
