PRINT SCREEN (ON A MAC: OPEN APPLE + SHIFT + 3 [USUALLY]; ON A PC: CLICK PRINT SCREEN, PASTE INTO A DOCMUMENT AND PRINT)

Why? To get a shot of whatever's on your computer screen. (On a Mac, hold down the shortcut keys then click on the window you want to copy.) The screen shot is saved to your desktop, and you can email it if you need to, so your IT guy can see exactly what's in that recurring error message.

SIMILAR PAGES (ON GOOGLE)

Why? To cut down on search time. Say you search "James Franco". You get results back for an Internet Movie Database page because it's a large database. Hit "Similar Pages". Google will compare the site's keywords and links with other websites. Then it gives you the websites that have information relevant to your search.

HOME (ON IPOD TOUCH OR IPHONE)

Why? To instantly adjust your tunes. Just tap the "home" button (the round button under the screen on the front) twice to bring up the controls.

DELETE

Why? To save space and cash. Every six months, go into your personal folders and sort by size. Of your 20 largest files, move at least five to an external hard drive or delete them.
