Eating a mostly plant-based diet and exercising regularly are Oscar-worthy for reducing your cancer risk. Keep in mind: studies have found the more consistently you work out, the greater the protection.

One review of studies, published in the British Journal of Cancer, found that active people are less likely to develop colon cancer than more sedentary people.
