Don’t drink on an empty stomach! Eating a healthy and well-balanced meal prior to drinking will help slow the absorption of alcohol. It’s also important to avoid greasy takeaway options at the end of the night and if you’re hungry, although it may seem the wrong time of day, select foods rich in zinc and B complex vitamins such as oat porridge or muesli- these foods have properties that assist with clearing toxins like alcohol from the body.
