Mind Over Minutes

Max out your cardio potential with this trial.

Feeling inspired to do a fun run? Whether, it's a 4km, 10km or half-marathon, lace up your kicks and start training. To push your body to go further faster, trick your brain with this simple plan from marathon coach Brad Hudson. Warm up with an easy jog for five minutes, then go as far as you can in a set amount of time.

If you're a beginner (you can't remember the last time you ran), go for 10 minute; intermediate (you run once or twice a week), 15 minutes; advanced (you can't get enough), 20. Note your final distance. Repeat the workout once every three or four weeks and try to better your previous mark each time.
