I am a qualified gym instructor and studying to become a personal trainer. I have had a personal trainer for about 10 months now and have just had my last training session and am ready to train on my own. I have been taught excellent form whereas these slides just tell me to use good form. I have had my goals not only elevated to a level where I thought was not possible but am actually achieving them. I work in IT and I am the oldest in my office (48yo) but am fitter than all and including those that are in their 20s. The role of a personal trainer is to get a client to take responsibility for their own exercise and looking around the place there are so many that are so unfit and so overweight, obviously taking no responsibility at all. I have a few clients and am please to see them getting fitter. When I complete my studies I shall be getting a lot more. These handful of slides will not do hardly anything to dent the obesity epidemic that has hit our shores. We are all much better working together to combat it rather than put another profession down. These slides will do nothing to provide the motivation to keep going and win the war on fat but a personal trainer will help you take charge of your own body. Just ensure that your trainer is a part of Fitness Australia and has all the qualifications and a proven track record. Try them out and allow them to help you take responsibility of you own fitness, get taught proper form and be taught how to create your own exercise program. I have lost about 17kgs so far and am happy that I have been taught by a personal trainer and all the information I have learnt I am ready to pass on...these handful of slides and negative comments will not give you that.
