Can light from photocopiers really damage your eyes?

No.
"Looking at a photocopier light is similar to seeing a camera flash," says Shirley Loh, spokesperson for the Optometrists Association Australia. It can only temporarily exhaust your eyes. However, light that contains UV rays such as welding and laser lights, and the sun, can cause significant damage, and even blindness.
