A survey of 1512 women by photo-gifting site MyMemory has found a quarter of women have deliberately tagged unflattering photos of their female friends, with 40% of the those images showing their friends without make-up.
And it gets nastier...When their offended mate asked them to remove the pic, 20% refused to. So what gives? When asked why they uploaded the unflattering pics in the first place, 51% said they did so because they didn't really like their "friend".
“To see so many women deliberately commit ‘photo sabotage’ and upload unflattering pictures of friends is somewhat surprising, particularly when you consider [that 65%] said they’d be mad if the same was done to them," says co-founder of MyMemory.com Rebecca Huggler.
"Photo sabotage is never kind, but I think we’ve all seen pictures on social networking sites that we know the ‘victim’ won’t be happy with.”
