The show started with white, black, pastel and grey linen fluid dresses, and then added a sporty touch with cropped waistcoats, more than basic tanks, one piece swimsuits and slinky fitted skirts. Accessories were kept simple with gold metallic belts and platforms. Wide cotton head wraps and gold hoop necklaces gave the collection a tribal edge. But, of course, the collection wasn't complete without Kirrily's signature burst of colour. For this spring it was vibrant fuchsia! A relaxed, fresh and modern collection.
The next show was Nicola Finetti which brought Danni Minogue to front row.
A colour palette of blue ribbon figure hugging thigh length dresses started the show, then a multitude of white and black cocktail dresses in silk, chiffon fabrics. The silk billowy sleeved tunic dresses with colour blocks of lime green and orange were my pics. I wonder which one was Danni's...?
One Teaspoon was a blend of Rock chic goes to Woodstock. Black leather shorts paired with skye blue cotton hooded tanks. Red denim skirts teamed with printed black and red tops. Then this girl's journey took her to the 70's festival with pink, purple, and orange tie-dye print long dresses and separates, completing the look with brown suede knee length flat sandals.
Lee Mathews show displayed, as per usual, her beautiful taste in fabrics. Glistening metallic linens in the form of flowing shirt dresses, shifts in charcoal, berry, olive, and navy tones. Lee also gave a cute, urban lift to the collection with tight fitting silver jeans, a feminine lace blouse and cropped black jacket. One of my faves!
Anna Thomas's collection seemed to me a mix of masculine meets feminine. Lean charcoal coloured jackets and grey shirts worn with batik style printed trousers, and slightly transparent floral printed tank dresses. She completed the show with what seemed a quick trip to the French Riviera, with navy and white striped dresses, cinched at the waist with a wide white belt. White wide leg sailor style trousers and a simple boat neck tee was my pic.
It was nice to see Wayne Cooper had some longer style dresses. A colour palette of grey, purple, and berry. Sheath dresses and frilled blouses worn with black cuffed trousers. Black turtle neck, and one shoulder dresses gave a sassy and sophisticated feel.
