Angelina Jolie in 'that gown' with Jack Black at the premiere of the first Kung Fu Panda film

Angelina Jolie is going to grace the red carpet at Cannes International Film Festival tomorrow. Both she and partner Brad Pitt have films to promote. Brad will be promoting Tree of Life, while Angelina will be there promoting Kung Fu Panda 2. We are looking forward to some fun antics on the red carpet as Jolie reunites with her co-star Jack Black. The two co-starred on the first Kung Fu Panda film and made quite an impression, especially as Jack Black accidentally ‘outed’ that Jolie was pregnant at the time. Black didn’t realise that it was not widely known that Jolie was expecting twins and let the information slip during an interview.

In a very recent interview to promote the new film Jolie and Black remembered the fauz pas fondly. “You were preggers, and I spilled the beans,” Black recalled. “And my wife, Tanya, was like, `That is the most amazing maternity dress I’ve ever seen’… And you’re like, `Oh, thanks.’ And then, what do we get in the mail like the next week? That gown!” Black quips to Jolie. “You sent it over. It was one of the sweetest gifts of all time.”

It seems that their passion for voice acting was the beginning of a beautiful friendship, with the two meeting in 2004 when they worked on Shark Tale together. At the time they made a sensation arriving with co-star Will Smith on a giant shark float. It seems that the hilarity of the situation was the perfect foundation for an unlikely bond to form: “that float on the shark was the beginning of a blossoming friendship,” Jolie said. “That was our bonding moment.”
