"A waitress just hit me – punched me for no reason," the actress tweeted early Friday morning, July 2, the day of her 24th birthday, though the alleged attack has not been confirmed.

The not-so-celebratory night out is a contrast to Lohan's mellow day of pampering and festive birthday dinner last year and her prom-themed birthday bash with Samantha Ronson in 2008.

Lohan, instead, marked her big day this year with some other friends – and her alcohol-monitoring ankle bracelet.
