Were you nervous about being judged on your cooking skills, and not your performing skills?

Definitely, I think it was fear of the unknown. I've never been so nervous in my life!

Does your Flilipino background influence your cooking?

Definitely, most definitely. The one that I cooked on the show, I did two dishes, I did a main meal which is called adodo and basically every Flilipino would know this dish, it's a staple in every Flilipino household. And the other one was leche flan, I called it a caramel flan.

What do you like to do as a family?

We like to travel actually, this whole year, ever since January, we've travelled all year. We've been back in Australia for a few weeks then back to LA in a few weeks.

What's happening in LA?

We're moving over there ... kind of.

For work?

Yes, mostly for Daniel. It's something different for us I think.

Do you entertain at home much?

All the time! We've got a beautiful house that's right on the water on Sydney Harbour, I spend a lot of time there and get people over there and just entertain.

Who is your ideal dinner guest?

I love Paulo Coelho and I'm following him on Twitter, I just love what he does and what he stands for and I love that he writes about spirituality. And Mia Freedman, I'm a big fan of Mia Freedman. I've met her once, I just feel like I know her by reading all her blogs and following her on Twitter as well.

Your daughter Mikayla is 3 now, what does she like to do? Does she like to sing like you and Daniel?

She loves singing, she loves dancing and playing with friends. She's a very social little girl, she loves dress-ups at the moment, she's had a lot of princess outfits, like we got her to save up, she's only 3, and she understood the meaning of saving up for her Snow White dress. We went to Disneyland this year, we didn't even need to go on the rides, but as soon as she saw the dress, oh my god, oh my goodness, it broke my heart, one of those kind of moments that I'll never, ever forget when I saw her face. You know for months she was like, "Today, are we going to Disneyland? Are we buying my Snow White dress?" And we're like, "Not yet, you've got to save up a bit more." Like we only gave her a couple of cents, she didn't even know what the worth was but she knew that she was working towards it.

Do you plan for any more children?

Yes, definitely. Maybe next year, we're going to Aspen in February so I thought if I could just hold off till then.

What are you working on at the moment?

Being a full time mum and wife and just travelling. I did a teacher's training course in yoga at the beginning of this year and I'm passionate about that but I'm just having a ball!
