Danny Glover might be a hard-hitting Hollywood actor - but did you know he's also been a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador since 2004?

On Wednesday, Glover took a break from the Sarajevo Film Festival and joined UNICEF's efforts to promote It’s About Ability, a local UNICEF campaign to raise awareness and change attitudes and actions around children with disabilities and their families.

Taking to the dodge ball court, Glover joined local children for a friendly game to support the campaign launched in early July.

"Children with disabilities are too marginalised in Bosnia and Herzegovina, beyond the reach of social services. They are often confined to their homes or placed in large-scale institutions," a recent UNICEF report revealed.

"As a result, they have less access to health services and education and are more likely to experience neglect and abuse."

Glover has been an active UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador since 2004. An advocate for children all over the world, the actor has previously spoken emotionally about the devastating effects of landmines on children in Ethiopia in particular. “It is the most painful thing to see how young children become collateral damage of wars,” he said.
