Diamonds are a girl’s best friend, but add some sapphires and a platinum setting, and they become very expensive pals.
We’re talking about the million-dollar Harry Winston danglers Salma Hayek chose to wear Saturday night for the LACMA 2012 Art and Film gala in Los Angeles. The earrings — stunning sapphires set with micropave diamonds — looked fairly simple (though gorgeous) but came with that hefty price tag.

The actress didn’t stop there with the accessories, either: she added a platinum and diamond Harry Winston bracelet (price unknown) to her navy gown, as well.
We’re guessing Hayek didn’t pay for the earrings (she likely did the Hollywood thing and borrowed them), but regardless, we’re feeling a little jewelry-box envy right now.

What really get me is that when she and her well off husband were asked for help through their "Abused Woman Organization" , help for young mexican girl who lived in US since age 4, and was sexually, emotionally and physically abused, She and husband refused, Note: the help requested was not necessarily money, I am not rich, I only buy earrings on sale, but I went out of my way to help this girl, and I am not even mexican.
