Sofia Vergara Thinking About Freezing Her Eggs

As Sofia Vergara faces the big 4-0 in July, she's not quite ready to start a family with boyfriend Nick Loeb.

But it's on her to-do list: "I guess I am going to think about freezing my eggs," the Modern Family bombshell tells InStyle in its April issue.

In the meantime, she's also not racing down the aisle with Loeb, with whom she first stepped out in 2010.

"The most important thing was that he was very handsome," the Colombian actress says about her initial attraction to the businessman. "But he was also very funny, talking s––– to me like a normal person."

Ever since she rocked a bikini when she was 17 for a Pepsi ad, Vergara has turned heads (and earned roles) for her enviable curves. But there have been bumps in the road for Vergara, whose brother Rafael was kidnapped and killed in 1998.

Vergara, who had already moved from Colombia to the U.S. at the time, relocated some of her family to live with her in Miami. She credits them, including her son, Manolo, 19, for encouraging her to keep working through the tough times.

"You can't just sit in your house and think about the tragedies," she says. "That's when people get depressed and their lives stop."

As for her age, "I don't really care," she says. "But doesn't that sound hideous? I remember thinking when my mom was 40 that she was already done."
