She may not be as curvy as the original, and he not as metrosexual, but the new Mattel Duke and Duchess of Cambridge versions of Barbie and Ken are regal – and just a little kitschy – enough to make any true collector drool.
The toy company is releasing the figurines in time to mark the real-life royal couple's one-year wedding anniversary, which explains why they are outfitted in their wedding finery: he in dashing red military jacket with a blue sash, and she in a mini-version of her Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen gown, replete with tiny tiara and sapphire engagement ring, reports InStyle.
The Barbie-and-Ken dolls will go on sale for $155 from Amazon.com U.K. come April 7. It hasn't been confirmed whether the dolls will be made available in Australia.
