Both Ellen and Portia established their careers on the small screen, the former with her own sitcom in 1990’s and the latter as litigator Nelle Porter on Ally McBeal. These days, Ellen is more well known for her prowess as a TV personality and talk show host.

The Ellen DeGeneres Show is one of the most-watched daytime talk shows and has garnered 29 Emmys. Ellen has also hosted the Academy Awards, withstood a judging stint on American Idol, and has lent her voice to films like Dr. Doolittle. Add to that her endorsements for J.C. Penny and American Express, and you can picture how Ellen has amassed a $250 million net worth.

Portia herself, who’s worth $25 million, has starred in the hit comedy Arrested Development and was recently cast in a reboot of The Munsters titled Mockingbird Lane.
