Which guest judge gave you the best advice?
Michael Buble was my favourite by far. I don’t know what it is - it was just a brother-sister connection where I could just be a normal person and he was just a normal guy to me. I guess the best piece of advice that anyone could ever say to me is that I know who I am. And that's really cool because you know, someone of that calibre, to stand there and say ‘she knows what she wants to do', that's such a wrap for me and something I'll take away for ever and then make sure I hold true and make him proud by that.
Do you regret being forced to give up a career playing sport because of a bone condition?Well it's been the best thing that's ever happened to me, because you know if this didn't happen I'd be playing sports for NSW pursuing netball or soccer. It's been the biggest blessing. When stuff happens in your life and doors close and you think it's the end, something else sparks up and it's ten times better than what you thought it would be, So it's definitely the best thing that has ever happened and something that I never want to be taken away from me.
How important is your friendship with Stan?
Me and Stan, you know, have been mates since the top hundred and even when we had that break during top hundred we used to call each other all the time and just check up on each other and encourage each other so it's really been an incredible experience to share it with someone like that that. At the end of the day, standing at the Opera House with him is just been the best gift anyone could ever give me. So if he takes it out I'd be absolutely over the moon.
Do you think Stan should win?
Absolutely. He deserves the world and even if he doesn't find it through this I know that he's going to be massive. I'll be the bloody first one to buy his album for sure.
Why do you think the Australian public likes you so much?I'm pretty easy going and I just want to have a smile and have a good time and look at the good things in life, and I think I'm kind of a girl that girls wouldn't be jealous of. I guess I can kind of relate to people in that sort of sense.
What's been the highlight so far?Listening to my single back with Michael Buble. Seeing a record that was produced and made for you and then you kind of put your twist on it.
Do you like the song?I didn't dig it at the start, but to see the finished product and Michael Buble’s face light up - I absolutely love it.
Would you like to have a crack at the American market?Absolutely, the first place I'd go to if I had the opportunity would be LA.
Do you think the Idol curse exists? It depends. Guy has been going with Sony for about five years now and produced five albums. I guess if you're successful they'll keep signing you and if you're not, like Natalie Gauci, Kate DeAraugo and Casey Donovan. they take you off. There's not really a good streak with the girls at the moment, so hopefully I can break that.
Living your life without music, could you imagine it now?Nope. No way. I can't live a day without music so I don't know how I could live a lifetime. Bloody hell!
What will you do if you win?I'll start recording, but I'll probably bash Stan.
And what will happen if you lose?I'll bash him anyway! Nah, I'd be stoked. Either way, as me and Stan said the other day, we're both winners in our eyes, so whatever happens from here is just a bonus. And I think Stan really wants the car, so he’s be pumped about that.
What do you think will run through your mind first if you win?Holy crap. What have I got myself into?
