As Bonnie would say, how are you feeling?
Steven: Bittersweet. It's pretty early but I'm glad I got to show two solos. I was obviously very sad when I left, I didn't think I'd be such a bitch! I had a nice tear, didn't I?
Ash-Leigh: I was a bit bummed on the night because my aim was to make the top ten. But I don't take long to get over things. It's been a great time and I loved every minute of it.
Were you surprised by the bottom six?Steven: Definitely. Especially Loredo and Chanelle, as they were great. And it was a bit of a surprise seeing a few people not up there, like Talia and Emmanuel.
Ash-Leigh: I actually thought we would've been safe this week, because we came back strong from the first week. Though to be honest, we didn't think we'd done that bad the first week and we got caned!
What let you down? Choreography, dance ability or your partnership?Steven: I don't want to sound negative but in the first week I felt the choreography didn't give us a lot to work with. Elevator music with Celine Dion!
Ash-Leigh: Being a ballroom dancer, they maybe thought I couldn't tackle other genres. But I was ready to give it a go, and I thought Steven and I worked well together.
Who do you tip to win?Steven: My mate BJ is unstoppable. He can make anything you throw at him look good
Ash-Leigh: I think Charlie might go a long way, but at the moment it's anyone's game.
Who did you share rooms with, and what was that like?Steven: I shared with BJ and it was a pigsty! BJ likes his sleep and I tend to be a bit of a night owl, so he was always making me feel like I need to go to bed as well!
Ash-Leigh: I was sharing with Kat. She's very young. I mean, I had to teach her how to use the washing machine and cook dinners. I don't know what she's going to do now!
Steven, tell us about your kooky dressing?Steven: I just try not to limit myself in regards to what I wear. I'll walk into a shop and go straight for the female section. Can I just say that I am actually straight! I just like things that look different, and I have a policy the pants need to be tight, the shirt needs to be long and baggy and the jacket needs to be tight.
What's your wackiest wardrobe item?My favourite big white harem balloon pants. It's like MC Hammer reinvented.
Ash-Leigh, as a ballroom dancer is it all about sequins, fake tan and false eyelashes? It is in the competing world, but I'm sooo not like that. Though I do love getting glammed up in a dress and heels.
Steven, how often do you change your hairstyle?Steven: I like to get my hair done once every three weeks. I go to this guy who specialises in doing patterns and artwork on the side of your head.
Ash-Leigh, you're engaged to another ballroom dancer, Dannial, 30, who made it to the Top 40. How did you meet?Ash-Leigh: We've been touring with the musical Burn the Floor for eight years and we met on tour. But Dannial's also a carpenter too!
Have you set a wedding date?Ash-Leigh: We're getting married on New Years Eve! Dannial's from Sydney and I'm from Perth so we're looking forward to bringing our families together.
How did he propose?Ash-Leigh: We were in Lake Tahoe with the dance company and he hired a boat and took me out on the lake. It was actually where we'd met, six years before.
Have you chosen a wedding dress yet?Ash-Leigh: The lady who makes the costumes for SYTYCDA used to make my dresses when I competed, so she's making a dress for me, as well as six bridesmaids.
Are you planning to start a family?Ash-Leigh: Definitely, but probably not for a couple of years. First, we'd like to reopen his parent's old dance studio in Sydney's Windsor first.
Steven, what's next for you?Steven: I've actually started a company with Hilton from last season, BJ from this season, and another friend, Shaun. We're a one-stop entertainment shop called A-Live entertainment, and we travel the country putting on workshops.
