She caught up with WHO to chat about the difficult Chanel shoot and how she didn't get along with model mentor Jonathan Pease.
How are feeling about being eliminated?
Not too bad. I had the best time and I didn't think I would get that far.
What are you studying at uni?
I'm doing a Bachelor of Arts in Commerce, majoring in Marketing and PR.
And now that you have done the modelling in the house, do you think that you'll be going back to uni or will you be looking at modelling?
Well I've only got one more year left of uni so I'll definitely finish that. I've already done two years so it would be a waste not to finish it. So I'll definitely finish that and pursue modelling - if I can get work.
So what are you going to do? Are you going to look for a booking agent?
Yeah well I can't actually contractually do anything at the moment because I'm signed to the show but on the last episode I'm allowed to find an agent. After the show I'll have a look around and see if I get any offers from anyone.
Tell us about the Chanel shoot. How did you find balancing on the pylon at 4 o'clock in the morning?
I hated that shoot. Yeah it was really difficult and I don't have much balance so being on the ocean on a pylon was not the most enjoyable thing. It was definitely difficult and my photo shoot was actually cut short because I was actually having that much difficulty but yeah it wasn't my favourite shoot at all.
If you have trouble with what's being asked of you in the shoot, is there support available for you?
Not at all. You have to suck it up, princess. Especially at that point in the competition. There's no spoon-feeding or anything, you just need to try the hardest that you can and bring your A game. They don't put up with anything really.
What about the lesson? Did you pick up any fashion tips from the lesson that you would be able to use?
Definitely. They taught us three looks and one look in particular in modelling. At the moment I'm wearing sort of a Balmain-inspired look, so I definitely have taken all that away. Not a fan of the English garden look. That was sort of a bit more floral and flowing - that's really not my style.
Did you learn anything from the judges or Jonathan?
I'm not sure if I learnt anything. I learnt to be thick-skinned, taking all that criticism but I mean Jonathan was our mentor and he would try to mentor us if you will but I don't really think we saw eye to eye.
You and Jonathan? Why was that do you think?
I'm not sure. I felt that he was giving us criticism that wasn't overly constructive it was just like, yes you're doing well, no you're not doing well - but if you're not doing well he wouldn't say do this instead. Do you know what I mean?
So you were kind of meant to work it out for yourself?
Yeah, which I guess is a good thing because you know, in the real world you're not going to have Jonathan with you saying what you should or shouldn't do. You have to work it out on your own in a way.
What about the judges? Did you learn anything from them?
Not really. I mean, I guess they represent the harsh, blunt, honest model industry so I guess I haven't really learnt anything from them but I guess to be thick-skinned.
Who do you think will win?
I would love Adele to win. I think she could win because every week she's constantly improving. She's definitely one to watch.
Who do you think will be next to go?
I would think maybe Franky or Lola.
Why is that?
Maybe because Franky is finding it tough with her confidence and all that sort of thing so I think her confidence is going down each week. So that maybe might take a toll eventually.
Do you think the show is rough on your confidence?
Definitely. I think I would say that coming out of the competition I had a little less confidence than I did when I walked in. Having said that, I walked out a better model.
Do you think maybe you need a certain type of personality to withstand it?
Definitely. I think you definitely need to be very mature and I worry about Cassi. She's a brilliant model but I'm not sure if she can mentally handle going out into the big wide world of modelling and booking jobs and turning up to castings on time and all that sort of thing.
And do you still want to be a model?
Definitely. I love modelling. It makes me feel very happy. I would love to do modelling afterwards.
Did you learn anything about health and nutrition while you were on the show?
Definitely. I was really brainwashed actually. I would work out everyday. I'm not joking, like everyday for an hour on the treadmill and then I would do sit-ups and I would eat very healthily and in very small portions. So I think when you're in that environment every day and you're thinking about the competition everyday, it sort of just gets to your head but you sort of have to be the best and physically you have to perform. Now having said that, I don't work out for an hour a day but I still eat healthily and it's very hard to sustain.
Who is your favourite judge?
Charlotte. She just cracks me up. She's a lovely person as much as she is importantly honest.
Do you think the judges have a favourite in the house yet?
I think some judges do have their favourite. Charlotte loves Cassi. I know that Alex Perry loves Claire and Adele. They've got their favourites.
Do you think Sarah has her favourite yet?
I'm not sure actually. They've each got their own little person they're secretly cheering on.
What do you think starts the fights in the house?
Throwing 13 girls in the house together all competing for the same crown jewel is bound to bring bitch fights and competitiveness and jealousy and all that sort of thing so it inevitable that people are going to fight. We do have fights but they are so totally forgotten the next day. On TV, it's blown out of proportion to the point we hate each other but it's definitely not like that.
Do you think you would be more inclined to snap at each other in the house than you would in real life?
I think it brought out the worst in all of us. You know, being in the house, but I think it's because you're away from home, it's a different surrounding, it's an unfamiliar environment and we get 10-minute phone calls each week, which is nothing. It's just completely out of our comfort zones which I think it makes things a little bit catty.
