As Dannii MInogue sits in a plush chair at WHO's Most Beautiful People shoot having her hair and makeup done, she is asked to put her mind in a beautiful place. "It's not bad, sitting here being beautified!" concedes the Australia's Got Talent judge, 38, who says she feels most beautiful when she's "had some time-out, a bit of a break. I'm just going at such a pace, I really feel like a different person when I've had some hours to myself."

Her me-time will become even more important come July when Dannii and her British partner, model Kris Smith, 31, become parents for the first time. Until then, she's become "more relaxed" about her expanding body, an attitude that's changed since she was a teenage pop star, when she would "literally be throwing up before photo shoots, it was all too much," she says. "Since I've been pregnant now, I'm just like, 'Aahh!' It's an acceptance of your body; it's been really good."

Asked about places she finds beautiful, Minogue is "torn," she says. "It's great to be home in Australia, but I've definitely got an affinity to Ibiza; that's where I ended up meeting Kris." Her beau conjures up talk of beauty too: "Kris has got that laid-back feeling. He's got a good energy and I find that really beautiful," she says. "Before I met him, I was like, 'I don't want a younger boyfriend,' but even though he's younger, he seems the more mature one out of the two of us."

Thinking about beautiful moments in her life, Minogue relates family caravaning holidays on Phillip Island. "It was just us, on a blanket, on the beach, no-one there, watching the fairy penguins. Amazing." Film and literature evoke beautiful thoughts, too. "I just saw Coco Before Chanel," she says. "It's a love story, I was on the plane weeping away. One of the best films is Steel Magnolias, best female ensemble piece, the tears, the tantrums, the laughs, everything, so natural." On her book list is Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert. "I bought it for so many girlfriends and I know I'll go back and read it again. It just touched a nerve. That's the book, the one."

When you purport to be a family magazine, why do you show Danni Minogue, a girl made pregnant by her boyfriend, resulting in her having an illegitimate child without the decency, love, respect by either her or her boyfriend to be married. When that child asks "Mummy why weren't you married to Daddy" will she be able to face herself in the mirror. I think not - she will be too ashamed.

Miranda Kerr, Jen. There are so many better than an old Danni. I liked Danni best when she was living in England!!
