ANGELINA UNDER FIRE
At the 30th-anniversary gala of Los Angeles’s Museum of Contemporary Art on Nov. 14, Brad Pitt and long-term partner Angelina Jolie were a picture of content and calm, admiring artworks and, at one point, it appeared, each other. She lovingly hooked her hand around his waist and he, in an unguarded moment, caressed her arm. Their harmonious appearance is in stark contrast to the picture painted of the couple by every major US tabloid just the week before, with five publications taking simultaneous aim at the couple (particularly Angelina) and firing off barbs ranging from allegations that their union is unravelling to claims Angelina is moving ahead with new adoption plans without Brad.
Adding to that barrage are new claims by one publication that a new book by Michael Jackson biographer Ian Halperin, titled Brangelina: The Untold Story of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, threatens to reveal details of the alleged long-standing feud between Brad’s current lover and his former wife, Jennifer Aniston.

The exclusive afterparties were a totally different story, with celeb guests getting cosy — and Robert and Kristen, reunited again, heading “straight for the VIP area.”
