Rachel Griffiths, 40, is pregnant with her third child to her husband Andrew Taylor. Mum already to Adelaide, 5, and Banjo, 3, the Australian star of Seven's Brothers & Sisters has confirmed she is expecting again.

The couple married in 2003, after being friends for 17 years.

Griffiths, who became famous following 1994's Muriel's Wedding, has been working solidly in the US since her breakout performance on Six Feet Under in 2001.

She was nominated in the best supporting actress category at the Golden Globes for her role as Sarah Walker on Brothers & Sisters, but lost out to Laura Dern. Her choice of gown at the awards ceremony - a free-flowing silk caftan-style number - was questioned by fashion critics, but now it's clear why a corseted dress wasn't an option!
