Megan Gale Leads WHO's Sexiest People of 2014

The cover of WHO’s hotly anticipated Sexiest People issue was revealed to a star-studded crowd at a party in Sydney tonight. The room erupted into cheers as the cover was unfurled, starring new mum Megan Gale in her first shoot since giving birth to son River five months ago.

And what a way to make her return! The model, baring golden skin, a cheeky smile and not much else, leads a cast of more than 80 local and international celebrities in our annual tribute to sizzling stars.

While it’s clear the camera loves her as much as ever, 39-year-old Gale says motherhood has changed the way she feels about her body. "I have such a respect for what my body is capable of; all of it has been such an extraordinary experience," she tells WHO. "I've barely had time to get back into any consistent fitness regimen. It takes so long for your body to completely heal from childbirth. I think us women shouldn't be too hard on ourselves post-childbirth."

Samantha Jade at the WHO Sexiest People Party

After the cover reveal, the celebration at Sydney’s Fox Studios kicked into full swing, with stars including Jessica Mauboy, Samantha Jade, Dannii Minogue and her fellow X Factor judges mingling over passionfruit margaritas, red peach bellinis and espresso martinis.

Guests were treated to an array of wines and sparklings from Brown Brothers, along with peach bellinis and passionfruit margaritas.

Throughout the ultra-luxe space, which evoked Hollywood glamour in tones of black, white and gold, waiters zigzagged through the buzzing crowd offering moreish canapés including chicken and pistachio terrine on brioche, pan-fried prawns with celeriac puree and spiced magret duck breast.

Guests were wise to be well-fuelled ahead of high-energy performances by Jessica Mauboy and the Faders, before RedFoo took the stage for a finale that lifted the roof. Sexy? We know it.
