Two weeks after his first tell-all interview in which he spoke about his split with ex-fiancee Sam Frost and insisted his “heart is broken”, Blake Garvey made his return to The Project on Monday night.

This time, the scorned Bachelor sang a much different tune - and he wasn't alone. Joined by new love - second runner-up, Louise Pillidge, Bachelor Blake told Carrie Bickmore: "There is a real love story here."

Following their first interview on October 6, nothing was off limits for Bickmore, who didn't hold back from asking Garvey the the tough questions.

"So, are you going to tell me the real story today?" Bickmore leads, referencing the October 6 interview in which Blake denied a romance with any other Bachelorettes, instead telling Bickmore he was "recovering from the intense experience."

“How was it for you watching that interview a few weeks ago and the reaction that followed?” she continued.

“It was difficult, especially for me,” said Blake. “I’m just trying to be respectful and I’ve adhered to Sam’s wishes and I’m trying to be mindful of Lou and there’s only so much I can do or say.

"When you insert a laugh track behind everyone of those answers then what can I do?”

Interjecting, Bickmore clarifies: “We don’t insert a laugh track, that’s people’s natural reactions to what you had to say”, she tells Blake in regards to his first interview with the show on October 6.

“There are people who did think that what you had to say was disingenuous,” said Bickmore. "You have to admit there’s something comical about saying it’s heartbreaking saying goodbye to 30 women.”

Moving on, Garvey clarifies another important point about his first interview on The Project: Sam Frost was not in the dark about his new romance, says Garvey.

"I had been requested by Sam not to mention anything about Louise," he told Bickmore in last night's interview. "She knew I had feelings for Louise."

"I would have liked to have been a bit more up front with the public but my priority there was to fulfill Sam's wishes."

It's a far cry from the story Blake's former fiancee, Sam Frost, is telling, however. Speaking to Fitzy & Wippa on today's show, an "annoyed" Frost said Garvey's claims were "completely false" and she was tempted to call Blake last night.

“I thought about it to be honest when I saw it and I said to Lisa, ‘I can’t believe he’s saying this, it’s rubbish.’

“And Lisa’s like, ‘You know what Sammy, you’ve just got to let it go.’ And she’s right. I just can’t be bothered fuelling the fire. I’m sitting this one out.”

Until tonight, of course, when it's Sam's turn to tell her truth to Carrie Bickmore. During a preview of last night's Bachelor segment on The Project, Frost - joined by runner up Lisa Hyde - reacted with disbelief when she heard Garvey say she had asked him not to mention Pillidge during his interview with Bickmore.

"That is the biggest load of s*** I have ever heard in my life," she is filmed saying. "You are such a liar dude."

Hyde said Garvey telephoned her after the show had wrapped: "He asked me if I still had feelings for him and if I could see a future with him."

As for Louise, when pressed by Bickmore about her current feelings, Pillidge said she needed to support Garvey and trust in his word. Still, Garvey said the couple want to move forward in a normal way and felt they couldn't do so without announcing their relationship publicly. "There is a real love story here, there is a beautiful love story," he said.

Garvey also said despite rumours to the contrary, none of the bachelorettes was pregnant with his baby.
