Madonna Dresses Up as Game of Thrones's Mother of Dragons for Purim

Is that the Mother of Dragons or the Queen of Pop?

In a move that could unite George R. R. Martin book worms and dance club-goers alike, Madonna channeled Game of Thrones's Daenerys Targaryen to mark the celebratory Jewish holiday of Purim.

"Happy Purim!!!!! All Hail All Queens! ##certainty," she wrote on Instagram, sharing the festive snapshot on Sunday.

Madonna - who studies Kabbalah, a form of Jewish mysticism - strapped on a brown corset, bangles and, of course, a pair of miniature dragons to complete her look.

We think Emilia Clarke, who portrays the Mother of Dragons on the HBO series, would be impressed by the costume (and costumes are a customary part of the celebration of Purim, which commemorates the salvation of the Jewish people in ancient Persia).
