Surprise: Steve Martin is a dad! The actor and wife Anne Stringfield welcomed their first child together, his rep tells WHO.
According to the rep, the two “are new parents and recently welcomed a child.” No other details were provided.

According to the New York Post‘s Page Six, which first broke the baby news, Martin and Stringfield welcomed the baby in December.
“They’ve had a baby and how they’ve kept it secret, nobody knows,” a source told Page Six, which reports that the new parent have been spotted around their Los Angeles neighborhood with their newborn in tow.
Martin, 67, who is notoriously private when it comes to his personal life, dated Stringfield, 41, for three years before tying the knot at his home in 2007.

So, Anne, it's fine to have a child at any age? Do you know personally what it's like to be born to a father of that age? Some glib remarks here.

ReplyFirstly, no matter how old or young we are as parents, there is clearly no guarantee that we will necessarily see our children grow up. What we do is simply hope for the best, that is all we can do. This couple are clearly in love, the wife much younger of course, but why should they be denied a chance of welcoming a child into their new marriage. At 41, many women now are as well having babies. As successful actors, materially this child should not lack for too much. I am sure this little one will be anyway much loved, and this is all that should matter. with so much negativity, now understand why Steve Martin guards his privacy though!
