Megan Gale, Jessica Mauboy and Ricki-Lee Coulter are named WHO's Sexiest People of 2012; plus 22 other smouldering celebrities star in our annual bumper issue!
The countdown to summer is on, but the temperature is already climbing, as Ricki-Lee Coulter, Jessica Mauboy and Megan Gale turn up the heat in WHO’s annual special issue—Sexiest People. The covergirls lead a cast of sizzling stars, from up-and-coming stunner Samara Weaving, to Hollywood hotties Robert Pattinson and Sofia Vergara, in our bumper celebration of curves, brawn and allure.
“I always feel super sexy on stage,” reveals pop siren Coulter, 27, whose comeback album Fear and Freedom was a top ten hit this year. “There’s a part of me I unleash which is more risqué and dares to push the limits further than in real life.”
For singer-turned-actress Mauboy, 23, who sparkled in 2012’s feel-good hit, The Sapphires, finding acclaim on the big screen has led to a newfound self-assurance: “Moving into the world of acting has made me feel more confident as a performer,” she told WHO. It’s a sentiment Gale, 37, can relate to. The Project Runway host has just returned from Africa, where she filmed a role in the George Miller-directed Mad Max: Fury Road. “There were scenes where I really pushed myself, and that felt empowering and sexy.”
She’s notching up her second appearance on WHO's Sexiest People cover, but Gale had a disclaimer: "It's very flattering to be included in WHO magazine’s sexiest issue, [but] I definitely don't feel sexy 100% of the time, not at all—I don’t think anyone does!” the statuesque model told WHO. “But it is lovely for WHO to acknowledge me in this way." As to what Gale find sexy in her partner, AFL player Shaun Hampson? "How much time have you got? When he comes home at the end of the day he has this aroma - a hint of aftershave, deodorant and the day. I find that really sexy."
